Candidate must reside in or near Prince George's County, MD due to having to support our clients in that area.

Seeking a very professional, resourceful, and dynamic candidate to add to a high performing team working with individuals with disabilities as an employment development specialist / job coach. The employment specialist will provide support to individuals on their case load and help them find and keep employment in Prince George's County, MD. Once placed in employment, the employment specialist will also conduct work site visits to help train the individual while advocating for them at their various places of employment.

Responsibilities:

• Meet virtually with program consumers to complete resumes
• Meet virtually with program consumers to complete job applications
• Meeting virtually with program consumers to conduct mock interviews
• Attend job fairs with the program consumers
• Conduct community outreach with local hiring managers in efforts to get program consumers placed in employment
• Transport consumers to job interviews
• Visit consumers on the job site to coach them in their daily work tasks
• Complete well written case notes of each session
• Complete other required documentation

Requirements:

• Be very detailed oriented
• Be a self starter and problem solver
• Have intermediate Google Drive and Microsoft office experience
• Have excellent organizational skills
• Have excellent time management skills
• Be trustworthy to handle remote work
• Have reliable transportation
• Have good writing skills.
• Experience working with people with disabilities (Preferred). Prior job coaching experience is a HUGE plus.
• Bachelors degree in social work, human services, psychology, special education or a related field (Preferred)
